Private Fox Hunts with the Lynn Haven Hounds

We regularly hunt up to a 10 couple hounds which are for the most part a cross-bred pack. Fixtures contain a variety of jumps from your standard chicken coop to our famous "Irish Ditch". For the faint of heart, all obstacles have gates or bridges. Hunts can be tailored, up to a point, for any level of rider.

Hunters will need the up front understanding that the Hounds come first and it's everybody's responsibility to treat them this way.

The first flight rides 100 or so feet behind the huntsmen and will need a fit horse able to handle a varied terrain with jumps up to 3 feet. The second flight is a slower pace that for the most part tries to position itself for viewing, small jumps up to 1.5 feet may be encountered. Please understand that the Huntsman WILL stay with the hounds.

• Hunters will honor the direction of the Huntsmen and Staff.
• The suggested attire is ratcatcher or weather-appropriate apparel.
• You will be asked to sign a waiver holding Lynn Haven Hounds and all landowners harmless if a accident were to occur.
• Common courtesy and common sense are needed in our hunt field; we always seem to have a great time.
• A Virginia small game license is needed.
